Random Thoughts21. March, 2012|Chris Craft|Blog|One comment
Want to hear some great stories? Read The Bible. I’m watching a live stream of a dam explosion (not a damn explosion). I really hope I don’t piss anybody off with this “blog post”. Why does it take tragedy to bring people together? I bet Pinterest has the highest concentration of cute and wholesome women users. What cool things are the kids saying these days? My jeans are getting less and less baggy every year. How can people smoke cigarettes? I could go for a Stella right now. Is Carlton Fisk still alive? Pizza tonight? I don’t know what else to say. |
Round Table from Heaven in Heaven | The “Oh wow.” Session10. March, 2012|Chris Craft|Blog|One commentPerhaps this blog post is a little dark, but there are some extremely brilliant people in Heaven. I plan to be there one day so I’m planning out my schedule for my Round Table in Heaven Sessions. Meeting Jesus Christ is a given so don’t think I’m leaving Him out. A discussion with more than five people can get messy so I’m going to limit the discussions to four people plus a moderator. Here we go… Moderator: me! (if I pass away before Tavis Smiley … if Tavis is around, I’ll be a happy fly on the wall) Martin Luther King, Jr. Steve Jobs George Washington Carver Morris Ketchum Jesup |
Teach and Learn | Our Geekend Talk23. February, 2012|Chris Craft|Blog, Speaking|No commentsThe best way to reinforce a subject that you want to learn is by teaching it to others. This is why I love public speaking. 1. It forces you to heavily research your topic. 2. It gives you confidence to approach the subject as an authority. Research + Confidence + Action (going public with your knowledge and putting it to use in your life and career) are the 3 keys to becoming an authority, influencer, or thought leader. My 2011-2012 NBA All-ACC Team15. February, 2012|Chris Craft|Blog|No commentsOkay… since I’m doing more career-related blogging at the Nao blog, I will be doing more fun/random blogging here at CLY. So let’s talk sports… I’m such a hoops/fantasy/simulation nerd. I like to put players from different teams together and think about how they’d co-exist. In the spirit of the NBA All-Star game being around the corner, I’ve compiled a 2011-2012 NBA All-ACC Team. UNC x 4 … Georgia Tech x 2 … Wake Forest x 2 … Duke x 2: Starting five:
Off the bench: PG – Ty Lawson – North Carolina SG – J.J. Redick – Duke SF – Thaddeus Young – Georgia Tech PF – Antawn Jamison – North Carolina C – Brendan Haywood – North Carolina |
We’re moving this party to the Nao Blog8. February, 2012|Chris Craft|Blog|No comments
After a great phone convo with blogging guru Mark Schaefer, we came to the conclusion that I was simply spread thin across too many blogs. I will be continuing my blogging at the Nao blog indefinitely. One last thing before I go… I’m establishing a coaching program for entrepreneurs. The program will only accept 7 Scholars per year. If you’re interested, fill out the form below: |
